I do think the hitting will improve and we may need to tweet the order of the lineup a little. I think something that is overlooked this year is our plate discipline, it’s far improved from a year ago. People can say we are being given games but it’s requires discipline to take it when it’s given to you. How many times do you hear “they are trying to give us the game” and we don’t take it.

I wouldn't say we were "given" games.. Our pitching has kept us close in almost every contest, which allowed us to capitalize on opponents' mistakes.

But we definitely need a couple guys in the middle of the lineup to start hitting the ball harder.

Spalita will get it going, the ball is flying off of his bat, he just has been completely unlucky. He is just hitting where the outfielders are, he has had a bunch of 100+ off the bat numbers that just are not finding the gaps, once they do, watch out.

I hope you’re right but I can’t say that I agree. I believe we have played enough games to say our offense is what they have shown. We will need exceptional pitching and defense in the majority of the games we play.

Good news is we are currently getting exceptional pitching and defense right now. We need that to continue until the offense figures it out.

I don’t think we will become a “hitting team” but I do think it will improve. Even just another bat or 2 coming on in the right spots can elevate the whole offense. We are playing 3 freshman, while impressive so far you have to think they will keep getting better. LF has been a giant hole so far and if Collins can steady that spot it will fill a huge void in the order.

each team wins with what they got - no reason we can’t keep winning in the Sunbelt like we have for the season so far, expected regular season improvement, coach tweaking and players continuing to find their own . . .
