UtRGV +1 over tsab, lol
This is my take. The peanut guy is a one man show back there. He is cooking, bagging & selling hundreds of bags a night. I think maybe you are mis-reading his attitude. He really doesn't have a whole lot of time for small talk. If you go often enough he even remembers if you want plain, salty or spicy.
I definitely respect the hustle, and I know he’s back there doing a lot by himself..cooking, bagging, and selling all night. That’s no small task. That said, I wasn’t expecting a whole conversation or anything. I just walked up, nodded, and asked how he was doing before placing my order, and him rolling his eyes at me caught me a little off guard. Then after I paid (mind you, I handed him the money like a civilized human being as opposed to setting it down), the peanuts were nonetheless tossed at me. It just felt a bit unnecessary and slightly disrespectful, that’s all.
Was at the baseball game last night and was never really to concerned about the final outcome, although I think this Ragin Cajun ball club and coaching staff learned a lessor early in the season vs. MO State. That is, to keep your foot on the gas. It appeared coach Deggs was probably confident enough in what he saw early on to practice situational bunting, rather than make a bunch of substitutions.
UTRGV was a scrappy team that found a lot of holes when batting and got hits that made the score closer than it should have been.
I say they were scrappy. Maybe all except their lazy _____ 1st baseman.
Don't beat me up. Is there no one on the roster that can play left field and hit better than 0.1?
