They have a conference series on the road Friday, getting home early and a good night sleep can’t hurt them, same reason we asked them to change. I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Personal belief that this is where college sports are trending overall.. Bias toward a team's historical performance as much as their current season results.

i.e., "can we really leave Alabama out of the playoff and put Tulane in!? Can Tulane really beat Alabama, even if the Tide have 4 losses!?"

Yes, you nailed it. It’s based partly on historical performance and partly on how I team might do if a tourney was held TODAY. I might be wrong, but I think it should be on record… what you did on the freakin field up to that point.
