It is just my opinion, and others may disagree. The only top 25 teams on our schedule at year's end are Oklahoma, Florida State and UVa. Ole Miss has Texas, Oklahoma and Tennessee in the next 3 weeks. They might be 0-12 [they are now 0-3] in conference after that stretch. I Expect them to be no better than 6-18 in conference. aTm will likely be swept by Texas, Georgia, Mississippi State and Oklahoma, and may not break even on their remaining conference games. LSU has it a little better, but they are 0-3 in conference now. I don't see them sweeping anyone they play in conference, and they will likely be swept by Oklahoma and Mississippi State, so .500 in conference is a stretch.

Playing them will probably still help us, but not as much as we hoped.

Massey Composite Ratings [5 Services] for SBC 3/10/26

    Marshall 48
    UL 49
    TxSt 53
    CCU 66
    USA 68
    App 70
    Troy 72
    JMU 84
    ULM 85
    USM 99
    GaSt 115
    GaSo 120

FWIW, Massey still has us favored in every conference game.

Also, since we do not play them, we want App, GaSt and GaSo to lose all their conference games to teams we do play.

Appears the overall conference RPI is better this year. Only a couple below 100.

I don't start keeping track of rpi for baseball or softball until mid April. In my opinion a lot of ball is left to play and it's way to early to start the rpi tracking.

Never too early to start baseball and softball RPI tracking. It’s what fans do.

What ever floats your boat. I challenge you to print out the softball and baseball rpi as of today and they do it again on April 15th and compare. It will be completely different.

That isn't that unusual; but it is unusual that all 12 teams are close enough to 100 for it to be possible to have all teams above that mark. Usually we have a couple of teams down around 150-200.

It's a fun exercise; even if it is a bit early for it.

Of COURSE they will be different. Again… THAT’s what fans do.

Not a bad job navigating the non-con. Like many have said, left a few big wins out there with TSAB and OU.

Last year's conference performance was a massive disappointment after winning 90 plus straight series. Especially when the conference was down.

Need to get back to the winning ways this year. The team is better. Still unpredictable, but better.
