Crowd looked great. Must have been electric. 7th inning stretch must have been fun too. Solid win. Great baseball for Louisiana and Louisiana.

Heaven forbids our bats catch up with our pitching and defense. We are pitching at a 3.76 ERA and a .981 fielding percentage while only batting .256.
According to our website, our record against state is 21-34. If this is accurate, we have to have one of the best records against state in all of Louisiana. I would assume only maybe Tulane and possibly UNO (back in the day) have comparable records. I looked up Tulane's record vs LSU and it is 73-113-2 and UNO is only 8-36 vs them.
80 percent chance of rain Friday and Saturday and 50.percent on Sunday. We will be lucky to get 2 games in at DBU.
What a win! Thoroughly enjoyed that victory over the Tigers.
Great job by the Cajuns.
I’m having a hard time stopping myself from thinking too far in advance with this team, but I’ll ask the question. What’s stopping this team from getting into regional host talks? The pitching and defense is as good as it’s been in quite some time, probably since 2016. The offense already does situational things well, and you have to think the pop is gonna come eventually from LaSalle, Markle, Brown, etc,. After all the low expectations many had coming in to the season, this is a really nice feeling to have.
Things must be bad for State, team meeting time.
