I don't think you are being too critical of Evans. The kid was one of the top recruits in the state and he's midway through his career so he needs to start putting it together. I would like to see him add some range to his shot as he seems to have decent mechanics and is one of our best free throw shooters.
Jones needs to play smarter as well. He's so much of a factor on both sides of the court inside but he just can't stay on the court long enough mostly due to dumb fouls.
Two months ago I was thinking this entire team needed an overhaul but I'm now more optimistic that we build on who's here with player development over the summer and maybe get one or two impact guys to come in. There's a pretty good chance you won't see Lewis on the court in 2026 so we'll need some help to bridge the gap in the front court especially with Woodson leaving.
