Habetz is returning to small ball from of lst year. You are down by 3 in top of the 5th with no outs and runner on first and you sacrifice Liscano who is hitting over 400, dumb. Earlier you had 2 runners on and no out, you get thrown out at 3rd on attempted double steal with Marceaux at the plate I believe. What are we doing? End up not scoring in the inning. Poor coaching and lack of timley hitting. I also agree what was the strategy statring Hoover with less than 24 hours rest after 135 pitches. Frustraing all around today.

Comes down to a couple of games in May. Just like last year.

Thought we had turned the corner. But, no.

Give them a shot. They have some good wins. And seem to validate a bad loss with a good win. Or invalidate a good win with a bad loss. However you look at it.

If they lose tomorrow, a 4-2 week with a top 25 win is good. If they win tomorrow, that’s just great.

There are zero corners to turn this season after losing to Prairie View A&M.

You do know that each and every "fire coach" call has been a poor attempt at humor right?

Most coming after wins should have been a clue.

After beating the Cajuns, St. Mary's gets run-ruled by Texas A&M.

Let me give you something to think about. It's not to be taken as an excuse, explanation or alibi.

    Cajun's starting lineups for today:
    1. Dayzja Williams - Junior, starter since second half of last season
    2. Kennedy Marceaux - Sophomore, part time starter at Alabama last year
    3. Madyson Manning - Junior, played 8 games at LSU last year
    4. Brooke Otto - Junior, did not play last year due to injury
    5. Cecilia Vasquez/Haley Hart - Senior, full time starter/Freshman
    6. Haley Hart/Cecilia Vasquez - Freshman/Senior, full time starter
    7. Emily Smith - Sophomore, full time starter last year
    8. Mia Norwood - Sophomore, first time starter
    9. Mia Liscano - Junior, full time starter last year

    My assessment:
There is talent on this team and they have apparently worked hard to improve themselves since last season. There are 4 players in this lineup that were Cajun starters last year. There is no substitute for experience and I fully expect that they will continue to improve as the season progresses. How that will manifest itself (enough non-conference wins to justify an at large bid, conference wins to place them at the top of the conference, etc.), I have no idea, but at this point in time, I do believe they are good enough to be an NCAA tournament team.
