I guess since the Cajuns won and nobody was on here griping, there was never a thread created.

But the team has won 7 straight and just swept a 2 game midweek series against a Big 12 team that was in a regional last year and was 6-1 coming into the series.

And after playing 15 innings Sunday and having a 5 game week this week, that’s very impressive.

UL third baseman Drew Markle (9) hit the game-winning home run in the 11th inning to beat Kansas State 3-2.

The at-bat seemed to be heading in the wrong direction, but UL third baseman Drew Markle certainly ended it with a bang.

Markle smashed a one-out home run to left field to allow the Ragin’ Cajuns to collect their third walk-off win of the season in a 3-2 win over Kansas State in 11 innings Wednesday at Russo Park.
