Congrats to Noble!
I am thinking our pitching rankings should be like this so far with Noble and Hoover clearly top 2. Noble is top. Hoover and Tipton are almost even, but Hoover really showed what she can do vs. TSAB. Game vs. TSAB really should have ended in a W in the 9th for us, but we left early basically killing that triple.
Noble
Hoover (alot of upside)
Tipton

Hard to argue with a 0.35 ERA and 2 complete game shutouts.
That ERA ranks her 6th nationally.
After a commanding weekend in the circle in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles, Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball right-hander Bethaney Noble has been named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday (Feb. 24, 2026).
Noble allowed just one run over 15 innings across her three appearances the weekend of February 20-22 in the LSU Purple and Gold Challenge and McNeese Cajun AC Louisiana Clash, collecting two wins and a save.
She held opponents to 11 hits and a .204 batting average, struck out nine and walked only two over 57 batters faced.
Noble started off the weekend with a complete-game shutout of Howard in the Purple and Gold Challenge, scattering six hits over seven innings. She struck out four and walked only one in a 99-pitch effort, recording her second shutout in as many starts to begin the season.
The following day, Noble worked in relief in a rematch against Howard. After Louisiana rallied to take the lead in the top of the sixth inning, she entered and recorded the final six outs, tossing two scoreless innings to earn the save.
Howard is not stellar, but they are not garbage, either. They will be a tournament team this year, barring a complete collapse. That accounts for a win and a save. Her remaining appearance was a complete game shutout of Missouri. While Missouri IS an SEC bottom feeder, they are still an SEC team and decent.
