LSU has never really been a force in the SEC in softball. They have never won a natty, and have only been to the WCWS 6 times, same as UL. They have been behind Florida and Alabama for 25 years, and now have to contend with a resurgent Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A & M. Arkansas and South Carolina will also likely finish higher in the SEC than LSU this year.
