Three Bowl Games Scrapped for 2026

Recently was announced three bowls have bit the dust. The LA Bowl, Motor City Bowl (its old name), & Bahamas Bowl games are being discontinued. None affiliated with SBC, we won't miss them. A one time market adjustment or a sign of things to come?

Since New Orleans is a tourist destination, you'd think NOLA Bowl has options. Could sign up Tabasco or Zatarain's or some other national foodie brand. Looking at the list of remaining bowls it is hard to figure out the attraction to a bowl in Montgomery, AL. Could say the same about Shreveport but they've somehow been making it work for 50 years.

The bowl games suck. Players opt out, no attendance and games have no significance. Instead, replace them with a G6 playoff. The anomaly of Tulane and JMU getting in will never happen again, you can bet the P4 will see to that. It is only a matter of time before a G6 school is excluded or the structure changes that they can't get in. Follow the format of the FCS bracket and replace the bowls with that.

If P4 really thinks some bowls should be eliminated then they should lead the way in cancelling their games first

Why couldnt the committee trying to bring the super bowl to nola more often be a sponsor.
