Actually, my purpose was to illustrate how much better we are offensively this year than last. At no time did I say that I was predicting the projected totals; in fact, I have on several occasions stated that it is very unlikely that we do so.

Your run projection suggestion excluding supposed anomalies this early in the season seems to assume there will be no more offensive explosions, and no games where Louisiana gets shut out again.

You might be right but I wouldn't count on it.

Awesome....i noticed since 2012 cajuns have only scored 400 in regular season once. I initially thought 23 runs would be an outlier as last season high was 9. But now i see it seems every other year we have a 20 run game. That would be an interesting stat to track as a streak, lol. Surprised we didnt have it 2020 though, so streak stands at 3.

True. But i only see one 20 run game dating back 10 years, outside of February. So they had their full chance of feb games.
