    Bo was a first team All American alongside Bill Walton and David Thompson. First overall pick in the ABA draft.

    I was lucky enough to have been in Blackham to see every game he played in. Sad day to be a Cajuns basketball fan.

    University of Louisiana basketball great Dwight "Bo" Lamar has died, according to one of his former coaches. He was 74.

    Lamar was a two-time national leading scorer and three-time All-American from 1969 to 1973. He earned First Team All-America honors in 1972 and 1973.

    Former University of Louisiana basketball legend Dwight “Bo” Lamar has died, the school has confirmed. He was 74.

    During his college career he averaged 31.2 points a game, amassing 3,493 total points. He was the 1972 NCAA scoring champion, averaging 36.3 points per game.
