This was a hard fought loss if there is such a thing. Shooting in the first half and free throws killed us.

CC 69
LA 65
Had a chance. Could never take the lead.
Tough first half.
Tough game to lose when you force 19 turnovers.
Stats
well played game - that play will win a fair share of games
Coastal Carolina came into Thursday's Sun Belt Conference game against Louisiana having won six of their last eight conference games thanks to sharpshooting guard play.
The trend continued for the Chanticleers as they opened a 12-point, first-half lead and withstood a Louisiana second-half comeback, topping the Cajuns 69-65 at the Cajundome.
The loss ended a four-game winning streak for the Cajuns (9-17, 6-7 SBC), who were plagued by poor first-half shooting.
It was a night of frustration for the UL Ragin’ Cajuns on Thursday at the Cajundome.
Time and time again down the stretch, the Cajuns had chances to tie the game or take the lead.
Each time, it was either a missed shot or a sloppy turnover.
The two teams combined had 8 assists. One of the keys to success the prior 4 games for UL was sharing the rock.
I’m a firm believer ONE play doesn’t determine the outcome of a 40 minute game. But this game had multiple moments that cumulative sealed the outcome.
….Two (2) disastrous turnovers when we could have tied the game near the end…..pass out of bounds to a ghost….it happens! Love the offense, defense, attitude…..lWe can’t shoot free throws, 3 pointers, lay ups, or just short jumpers….like the direction of the program….9 Louisiana kids!
