Ever since we went to shooting less 3 pointers and focusing on efficient shots we've improved which I called it. We are shooting at a higher clip but shooting less and getting better looks.

The improvement from the first 10 games to the last 5 has been tremendous. The sets we are running on offense have improved, inbound plays have improved, defensive movement (moving your feet) has improved. Hats off to this team for continuing to grind after such a tough start of the season.
Very good point about reducing reliance on the 3 ball. When we do take threes, they are generally the catch and shoot type where the shooter is in proper position to release the ball quickly. Better passes to the shooter also helps. That has led to a higher percentage of 3’s being made. We also are taking more mid range shots but they are generally good looks. Playing basically 4 guards and makes it difficult to get more shots at the basket so middies are smart in that situation.
Out of all the SBC games so far the only team to completely outclass us was Troy. Every other game it can be argued that the Cajuns could have and should have won. Blown leads down the stretch of a few and then Tot from app going full blown Steph curry in a 4 minute stretch. I feel like this team is finally gelling and learning how to win. Q has been better with his timeout management down the stretch of games as well.
I think the most important thing for this team is to finish in the top 6 in order to make some noise in the conference tournament. With the format being the way it is 4 games in 4 days is much better than 6 or 7 games in 7 days. Top 4 is certainly within reach as well with 9 teams jumbled up with 4 to 6 losses. Time to finish strong.
True
And Lavergne has not only shot it better but with better shot selection but with better efficiency
I was very critical of Lavergne as recently as a couple of weeks ago and with good reason but he's really turned it around the last couple of weeks especially after Lewis went down. He's playing much more within himself and the offense.
And as someone else said as well, kudos for the team for gutting out that horrible start. It's hard to get to work every day when you are losing consistently.
