Thread: Patch Advertising Approved

  1. NCAA Patch Advertising Approved

    August 1st advertising on jerseys.

Cajuns getting a national brand won’t be easy. Need to fish outside the local waters, get something non traditional that causes a buzz.

Every game a different food festival would move Louisiana to the front of the class.

No real money there. Festivals don’t make that kind of money.

Not from the game day festival itself, that would be UL paying itself.

From the rotating sponsor of the food, drink, fun, garnish sponsor for the festival of the week

Velcro patches. If a patch comes off during the game that langiappe for the sponsor.

Big Brands, Tabassco, Marine company, world wide brands look for a partnership to align with winning brands.... NASCAR knows how to do this, leveraging fan interest with well known brands... forget most of the small locals, they don't have that sort of $. Now, the question now is, does UL Athletics is a brand that the larger brands have an interest in... my guess, it's another up hill climb for UL.

If the reputation for Louisiana Athletics events becomes "A Food Festival Every Game" winning on the field becomes secondary to sponsors.

Now (for game day sponsors) the advertising dollar footprint expands to before during and after the "event"

Its the kind of thing that will get mentions across the country at non Louisiana events.

TABASCO is an obvious choice. Both a local and a national brand!!
