Thread: Final Louisiana 58 App State 72

  1. UL Basketball UL's obstacles continue with losing promising freshman for rest of season

The obstacles just keep coming for the UL men’s basketball program.

Since the season began, scrappy senior forward Zeke Cook left the team, starting point guard Jamyron Keller only played two games before being lost for the season with a foot injury and transfer forward Sean Elkinton has played a game with his foot injury.

Now, promising true freshman forward Joshua Lewis is now out for the rest of the season with a patella tendon tear heading into Thursday’s 5:30 p.m. road game against Appalachian State.

Not good news. Hopefully he fully recovers for next season. The young man has potential to be very good.

Man, unrelated, it appears the cheer team didn’t go on their annual competition In Orlando.

    No halftime entertainment / promotion.

With his injury I would think that he is less attractive at this time to be poached by another school.

Sad to say, this is what it's come to. SMH!

  9. UL Basketball Final Louisiana 58 App State 72

The UL Ragin’ Cajuns hope to carry the momentum from Saturday’s 59-56 road win over South Alabama into this week’s more extensive road trip.

That venture begins at 11 a.m. Thursday against Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina. The game was originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m. but changed Wednesday because of a poor weather forecast.

I can't get past the paywall on the article so I'm not sure if its ruptured or just partially torn but the recovery time differs based off of that. If he's out for 3-6 months for instance, that would give him plenty of time to recover. I'm sure its not optimal to pull an injured player into a program but if he was recovered by the time school started, they may not see as much risk. Personally, I really hope he's here next year. He gives us some explosiveness and you can see his talent
