I remember paying for women's basketball when JKH was coaching. Of course, the SBC was a multi-bid league in WBB at the time, and our teams were very competitive in the conference.

    My recollections...

J Kelley Hall put a 1, 000 paying fans in the stands some nights.

Of course that was EKL capacity.

He still didn't say we need to play in the Cajun Dome to be equal.

    The atmosphere was electric.

Hall had at least 5 players on his rosters better than anyone Brodhead has ever recruited. [Anna Petrakova, Yolanda Jones, Oona Charles, Sonora Edwards and Alicia McDaniel]

Any NIL to women's basketball is a waste of limited resources. Volleyball/Softball have far more upside AND has tangible fan interest . And it ain't close.

With the new tournament tv money deal with ESPN, there’s actually financial reward for women’s basketball success, unlike any other women’s sport (or men besides football and basketball).

It would take a major investment from UL to start taking WBB seriously, and I think we all know what those chances are.

Eh, 1 NCAA appearance in over half a century seems to have leadership happy.

When women try to do what men do, the difference is striking and not enjoyable. Look at how much the WNBA is mocked. Softball is not baseball. It's a different sport tailored to women. The basketball equivalent for softball would be shorter goals and smaller courts just for the girls.

Women's basketball will NEVER, EVER be successful on any level.

Hey, be nice to the WNBA. They gave us the word "mebounds!"
