Misnomer about Vintage Vermilion and White
The Clorox Bleached out White we use today was not the white used in 1901.
Even though the historical pictures are black and white, it is fairly obvious that they show more of an antique white and vermilion.
The fabric would have looked more like this. Slightly off white with vibrant Vermilion.
