We need to be more open in letting them back on the team, but it needs to be known that they have to earn their spot and respect back. If I was the coach and they asked to be back on the team that is what I would tell them.

The only problem you run into is if the coaches set a precedent of allowing players that enter the portal and don't find a spot somewhere else to come back then what will stop all players from entering the portal just to test the waters knowing they can come back anytime. Like it is no big deal to the team. It is a slippery slope.

Theoretically, since ncaa allows players to be in portal and go back to same team (even though many has said that doesnt happen often and they sold out their team) however, if that happens to they actually sign again with their old team, or simply stay on the team. In which case they may also stay in the portal?

Maybe if they had different (self imposed) deadlines. If you want to come back you have to do so by an earlier date??

Thats wild to be considered a "graduate transfer" and not have any classes?
What is the point of the Graduate label? You would think that meant the player is in graduate school.

I have doubts whether joe burrow was in grad school as well.. Many have said he took a few online classes. But as has been documented and admitted by him that he spent a lot of extra time with the "analyst" munoz. At the time ncaa had coaching limits and analysts were not supposed to coach players. Also that extra time was when most would be in class. Even if they do go to class and use the grad label just to lower required hours from 12 down to 9 or 6 is a huge loophole and unfair advantage if they are mickey mouse undergrad classes and not true graduate level master's seeking classes.

And now with these playoff games so late, if everyone on the 105 roster dress but arent actually enrolled in spring classes how are they still student athletes and eligible. Also if they are dressing 105 from last years roster AND have early enrollees and transfer portal players on campus for spring how are they not past the roster limit

Also dan lanning was a "graduate assistant" for one year at alabama, while 29 years old, and despite already having had leadership "coaching" positions at 2 other schools, and while at bama there is no evidence he was enrolled in a graduate degree program. Seems like bama was above and beyond the coaching limits

Why don't you research how all this sort of stuff comes about instead of wasting time posting about things you have no knowledge of (if you did, you wouldn't ask so many insane questions or suggest more conspiracy theories). You have single handedly ruined each and every portal, NIL, etc post as well as just about any thread you post in...Turbine, do your job and ban this bozo for life...

Looks like i was researching it, yet with all research pursuits one person cant solve it all on their own. Checks notes do schools make R1 status with just 100k and 1 phd or do they have larger requirements involving more people. See also how are those food pyramids coming along.
