Defense allowed was trending down all season (green) but after the last two games that has taken a hit.

Arkansas State beat Troy in Jonesboro last Wednesday night. All that did was give the Trojans extra focus on Saturday. Someone mentioned that the book is out amongst other coaches on our defense. I agree with that. Our high trap is meant to force turnovers but good teams recognize it before the double team comes. They swing the ball quickly and we are then left in scramble mode. Our best defense seems to be when we play zone. Some coaches get out of that as soon as a couple of perimeter shots are made. On Saturday, Troy made more threes in the first half than 2nd when we did play zone. They had open looks due to the way they swing the ball or drive and kick out. Hopefully we may play more zone going forward.
