    Thanks for the insight. How is athletics able to affors the fees portion? (Have athletes that can, pay fees out of their nil perhaps??) Dont most of the fees go to student organizations, so does it really help the university's finances?

    They say time and again our students wont vote for athletic fee, but how did those same students vote for drama club fee or speech and debate fee or judo fee (i remember that one from my days)

    How much would just raising the tops eligibity g.p.a. a quarter point or a half point save and possibly allow it to cover fees

    Why do students get to vote anyway? The university needs to control tuition and fees.

    Dude...there's been bills in the Legislature over the past 10 years trying to LOWER the GPA or ACT score to qualify for TOPS. Thankfully that failed, but you think we can get enough slimy legislators to support raising it? Maybe...I hope.

    What or whose taxes you want to raise to make up for the shortfall. OR, what programs/NGO spending you willing to cut?

    There's a reason why the EWE-led constitutional convention made it where the easiest programs to cut from the budget were education and healthcare...because he knew it would cause the current delima and politicians could wring their hands and cry that "there's nothing we can do".
