Case in point: No banner no pagentry try while the iron was hot.

AND the biggest miss, getting on national tv during season and championship game touting the new stadium was starting right after the season ended.

This when there had been a tradition of live cam. Even live cam implosions on campus.

I said it then. I've said it since. I'll say it today:

We USL'd this hire.

There was no effort to conduct a serious coaching search, no explanation of why there wasn't, and no interest in bringing the community into the matter. They did what the hell they wanted. They didn't care about us. Not then. Not now. Maybe never.

That's a big reason why people like me are disgusted with the administration. They simply do not give a steaming pile about us. They do what they want, never explaining why, never seeking to bring us in, just expecting us to buy tickets, donate, support their lackluster efforts.

I would say incompetence, but scores of bad incompetent decisions since my arrival at this university in 1982 indicates something much more than simple incompetence

Des knows this program better than most and he was given some unexpected hurdles (Napier transfers, funding, NIL).

He's our guy and we should get behind him with unwavering support. Can we revisit this conversation after the season ... absolutely, but moving forward we should do everything possible to support him.

We know our demise starts with Martin Hall and rolls downhill from there. We'll have a new president with new expectations. Football and marketing the university should be top if list.

Let's lean into The cULture and be the best version or UL we can be. Geaux Cajuns!

Yes but he needs to look in the mirror and realize he is a terrible play caller and needs to give up playcalling to focus more on the whole team
