Looks like TSAB droppings was on the case long ago

Why don’t some teams just move down from FBS to FCS?

Why struggle in the FBS when you can just move down and legitimately compete for the FCS championship every year? G5’s are never going to win the CFP.

A few that come to mind who would be interesting to see at the FCS level are: Louisiana-Lafayette, ULM, LA Tech and Arkansas State.

    Why not?

"All but the Cajuns were FCS, were very successful and moved up. All but ULM have had periods of success with La Tech and the Cajuns being top 30 programs for an extended period of time"

The Cajuns never had to "moved up" they we're founding members of D1 and FBS.

Somewhere along the way Martin Hall lost its drive.

Those that make that sort of comment really don't have a clue.

Honestly, how many people watched the game? How many knew it was even on last night?

It looked like a great game, and I wished I would have watched it, but I honestly didn't realize it was on until I opened the ESPN app when it was in the 4th quarter.

Finishing in the CFP top 25 in back-to-back years in the last 5 years is hardly an indication that you're struggling in FBS. The majority of P5 programs can't make that claim and there are ebb and flow periods for most teams. Hell, TSAB finished 7-6!

No pre publicity is the only problem.

Kind of the same problem Louisiana faces.

Back when every game was a Louisiana Saturday Night event you didn't have this 'not knowing' problem.

The great lie out of Lake Charles, perpetuated by many who should know better. The lie exists so McNeese doesn’t appear to have dropped down, especially from where they would love to be today.

Their beat writer is complicit too. Multiple people correct him every time the football teams are discussed.

If the FCS can have a playoff, so can the FBS.

The NCAA needs to just start one. Let the P4 "opt out" for their "NIT".

I read that Montana and Montana State both have NIL football budgets of 1.5 million which is half a million higher than Wyoming.

God forbid we drop to FCS in football. Some people would rather slit their throats.
