Takes years in the shipyard or drydock to complete the upgrades, so that would mean a few years of downtime, i.e. no bowls.

My take? I'm going to take being exceptionally low in a very negative area as a positive. A very big win to be a statistical anomaly in this giant portal cesspool.

I get it, it is easy to be negative about our Des' results and the portal in general......still have to sweat it out another 10 days or so but so far this is a big big big win for Des.

Another potential strategy in all of this madness is to hold onto a large amount of players … perhaps of lesser talent, but with a good amount of experience. Before the transfer portal, this is how mid-major basketball teams made runs. You would see their starting five be all Seniors and Juniors.

I am not saying this a winning strategy now, BUT it could be.

The boats on top only appear to be unaffected and floating.

The entire collegiate athletic landscape is sinking the body of water is drying up.

Staring at the boats on top belies the fact that the lake bed is fast approaching.

I can confirm the same group playing together for a long time works, thats why we start the same playbook before middle school- signed JT Curtis

Carencro/Carencro Middle and Acadiana/Edgar Martin may still do the same.

That could be a strategy if the nucleus of a good team is staying together and no big stars getting signed elsewhere, just sign the entire team together. A consistent QF/SF tyoe squad that even may be under the radar, the sum of the whole greater than the individual
