Louisiana men's basketball returns home for a five-game homestand beginning on Sunday when it faces Norfolk State in a "Red Out" game at the Cajundome.
Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. The game will be available on ESPN+ with fans able to listen to the game in the Lafayette area on KPEL-FM (96.5)
Louisiana (2-11) returns to the court for the first time since a 76-62 Sun Belt Conference victory at ULM on December 20. The Ragin' Cajuns, making their first appearance at home since December 6 against UNCW, wrap up their non-conference schedule against Norfolk State (6-9) in the first meeting on the hardwood between the two schools.
Jaxon Olvera (12.7) and Dorian Finister (12.5) average in double figures to lead Louisiana, with the duo averaging 4.7 and 4.6 rebounds each to lead the team. Olvera came off the bench against ULM to score a game-high 17 points, with De'Vion Lavergne posting career-highs in both points (16) and rebounds (8).
Norfolk State (6-9), which finished 24-11 in 2024-25 and captured the MEAC Tournament title, has picked up Division I wins this season over Hampton, Jackson State and UTEP. The Spartans split in their two games on Dec. 21-22 at the WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational, edging UTEP before falling to UC Irvine in the championship game.
Anthony McComb III (16.7 points) and Elijah Jackson (15.6) are third and fourth, respectively, among MEAC scorers this season with Devon Ellis averaging 10.1 points.
