p.s. i'm just guessing UGA doesn't have a water skiing title. could've searched it, but didn't want my computer history to record such a search.
Although georgia is a hot bed for water ski, way down yonder on the chatahoochee
Besides monroe, other champs include:
Arizona State
Rollins College

Bad news monrow has way more title than us 29-12
Oddly enough some big biys, such as clemson, michigan. The ohio state have some division 2 titles? Whatever that means
Key Distinctions
Governing Body and Structure: Unlike other college sports, the NCWSA determines the divisions for its National Championships based on team rankings and performance during the season, rather than a school's general NCAA affiliation. Teams can move between NCWSA divisions depending on their annual performance.
National Championship Qualification: The top-performing teams throughout the season (generally 12 teams in D1 and 10-12 teams in D2) qualify for their respective National Championships.
Competition Level: Division 1 generally features a higher, more intense level of competition, with powerhouse teams battling for the overall "NCWSA National Champions" title. Division 2 also involves a high level of skill but is often characterized by exceptional team spirit and passion. It is not uncommon for former junior national and world champions to compete in both divisions.
Scoring and Events: The fundamental rules for slalom, tricks, and jumping events are the same for both divisions, with scoring based on performance in each event. The number and types of exhibition events might have slight variations between D1 and D2 nationals, but the core events remain the same.
In essence, the division a team competes in for the National Championships reflects its competitive strength within the collegiate water ski community that year, rather than being linked to the administrative and financial differences of NCAA D1 and D2 programs in other sports.
