There have been other games in which we played just as well as today without the desired result. Answer is simply because Cajuns made some shots. In some of the losses, the misses came from shots more open than those made today. Hopefully that continues and today was not an anomaly. Ball handling was excellent today with only 6 turnovers committed. As far as the fouls go, many of those came when Cajuns pressured the perimeter from their zone. Warhawks then took advantage by driving to basket where the fouls occurred. Warhawks made 19 threes vs USA but just 6 today. Cajuns made it a point to run them off the 3 point line. Difference from Thursday night was the Cajuns got some calls as well. They need to do a better job of knocking them down of course.
Curious to know why Evans played so few minutes and didn't start. I thought he's been playing better lately minus the fouling.

Jones was doing a good job today. That is likely why Evans played little. Lavergne has been struggling lately. Recall the Wilmington game in which he went 0 for 7 from three, all wide open. Today was the best game of his career. Scored a basket on an inbounds pass to himself basically at end of clock. Threw it off a Warhawk, grabbed ball, and put it in the hoop.

Nice to finally get a win, even better when it is defeating ULM. Shot the ball much better today.

With all due respect Lavergne has struggled all year. He shoots too many 3's and he only shoots it at 17%. Yes, 17% and he turns it over about as much as he assists on plays. (1.3 T.O-1.8 Ast)

You are right in that Lavergne has struggled much of season, not just recently. Hopefully today’s game is the beginning of a turn around for him.
