    Absolutely not, it was a high risk low reward hire.

    Don’t get me wrong, I think Maggard has missed the mark on plenty of things. But overall he has done a pretty good job. He is also handcuffed on some things that the administration won’t let him do.

    Once the east side renovation is done, Maggard will have been a success.

    But he is a phd, having phd's become VP had to give at least a half a point to our R1 application.
