He will have a more difficult time getting his next gig when other athletic departments see a history of 10M in the hole management....he needs to go now, he's out lived his shelf life and if he hangs around much longer UL athletics will be taking another step down the ladder...nearly a half mil in salary while athletics is in a preceived free fall...

He has done some good things in the past, but his management model has directly led to the financial mess we are in . It does not work and seems incapable or unwilling to change or understand that a new model is needed in the worst way. Anyone could see when he moved to MH this would not end well. It's way past time for a change.

Maggard is sort of the scapegoat too. I’m not a fan of everything he’s done, but he has been a successful AD so far.

We have to remember that it’s still USL at heart, so he has to climb a mountain to make any small improvement.

What would a new model look like? It all about saving money now.

What Maggard did before NIL worked. What he has done since and after NIL is not working.

Moving him there to keep tabs on him created terrible optics.

Ultimately moving him away from the pulse of operations was a terrible idea.

So, you like the hire process of CMD? That was all on Maggard

There has to be a non money way, see billy bean. See toronto blue jays and seattle mariners, see kc chiefs in a small market.

Look at navy, no nil and when this senior class started military recruitment was at an all time low,(think botched afghan withdrawal) yet they just finished one of their best seasons/most succesfull classes ever, albeit even with a new coaching staff
