Dont worry, they have never wanted oregon in either
Most points scored in total and in second half against oregon.
Beat them in second half by more points than any other team.
If each half were equiv of a baseball game, the series woyld be tied 1-1 about to move back to VA...
Only college football gets to change its narrative whenever they want. Sometimes first half is more important, most times second half, but suddenly not now, lol
How apropos....the mothership has on a documentsry about chiefs vs bills and they said the rivalry went back to before the first super bowl....
Back then: AFL has no chance
Now: greatest playoff game ever
Meanwhile:
Bills keep failing but keep getting more and more chances.
It is almost as if espn has no mirrors.....
Did you watch the game? Oregon blew them out in the 1st half and it was men against boys.
Credit to JMU for playing with pride. Oregon mailed it in halfway thru the 3rd quarter.
Mid-Major football is likely one crappy CFP performance away from being out of this, and it is a shame.
Unfortunately there just wasn’t a nationally-competitive team from the mid-majors this year.
These are national championship game scores:
Georgia 65, TCU 7 (2023)
USC 55, Oklahoma 19 (2005)
Alabama 52, Ohio State 24 (2021)
Clemson 44, Alabama 16 (2019)
The losing team didn’t belong, of course.
That freshman running back duo is insane. Passing was near perfection. D-line swatted down I think 5 pass attempts. ST was excellent. All three phases.
Their one loss was to the best team in the country this year.
Their QB will probably be the number one pick in the NFL draft.
As for JMU putting up 34, making pics in the end zone, fake punts, very slick play calling, I'd say they rep'd the 12 seed pretty well.
As for the Green Wave getting blown out, hell yea.
