1. Takes two parties to agree, so good luck with getting them to say yes
2. The payouts will be going down, not up. With all SEC+ACC having 1 less OOC game + requirement to have a P4 (leaving only 2 spots for potential G5 games), the market has shifted. There is less supply (games to be bought), while demand has stayed the same (most G5 wanting at least 1-2 P4 games). In fact, the demand will be higher for the next few years as SEC/ACC teams work to shed an OOC game. So $1.3 is probably a good number considering market conditions for 2026.
Once a year, and a schedule made one year in advance screams they have not tried at all.
The TCU game is better but two years out is barely trying at all.
This isn't the age of Stokley and having to start with no idea cold phone call.
Stokley's schedules were head and shoulders (1996) better than now.
Currently, lazy.
