Someone explain to me how JM got in over N D, BYU, Vandy, to name a few
I know the NCAA and College football is a joke , but does not make sense ???
JMU should be in over Tulane. Tulane has 2 losses, one of them is to a bad UTSA team. JMU has 1 loss to 8-4 Louisville.

No to the title change, but what I would LOVE to see is JMU vs Tulane for the national championship. Now that would make my day.

How did JMU rise so quickly? JMU has an athletic budget of $68m and $53m came from student fees. That is 78%, an extremely high percentage. For Fall 2025, James Madison University (JMU) planned for an undergraduate enrollment of around 21,358 and a total enrollment of approximately 23,157 students. That is over $1,200 per student per semester or over $2,450 per year. That's almost $10,000 over a 4 year period. Yet enrollment is up every year. JMU's student athletic fees tops all public schools in the country.

Sounds like UL could learn from JMU and institute a modest student athletics fee.

Except it would be required to pass a student vote. Good luck with that.

Not saying we shouldn't try, but right now with the $25 Million budget deficit issue the media and others jumped all over the past couple months, blaming football and athletics almost solely, now might be about the worst timing imaginable to put something like that on a ballot.

Good athletic advertising pays for itself.

Why should students vote on this? Do they vote on any tuition & fee increases? It should just a fee that is part of that and mandatory. Then use the tickets that they paid for and attend the games. Enjoy the college experience.

It’s a state law in Louisiana. Us and one other state, I believe, are the only ones in the country with that statue.
