just a quick look at my weather outlook and I'm only a little over an hour from Mobile and it looks like lows in the 50's and cloudy, thats going to make for a chilly day that near the water. At least the UL will have a nice clean Buccees to stop at on the way this time

  8. UL Football Louisiana vs Delaware in 68 Ventures Bowl

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Football team has accepted an invitation to play in the 2025 68 Ventures Bowl, facing Conference USA member Delaware, on Wednesday (December 17) in Mobile, Ala.

"The Ragin' Cajuns are extremely excited to participate in the 68 Ventures Bowl," Louisiana Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard said. "The bowl experience in Mobile, Alabama is second to none and we are very excited to compete against the University of Delaware."

Louisiana (6-6), making its Sun Belt Conference-leading eighth consecutive bowl trip, will make its first appearance in the 68 Ventures Bowl and its first bowl trip to Mobile since competing in the 2019 LendingTree Bowl.

"We are incredibly excited to be playing in the 68 Ventures Bowl in Mobile," Louisiana head coach Michael Desormeaux said. "Our team has worked hard to earn a postseason opportunity, and it makes it even better that it is in such a great location. Mobile was great to us the last time we played in their bowl game, and we look forward to their hospitality again."

The bowl appearance for Louisiana, one of nine SBC teams bound for Bowl Season, will be its 15th overall where the Ragin' Cajuns own an official 7-5 mark.

Delaware (6-6), a traditional power at the FCS level before transitioning to FBS this season, makes its first-ever bowl appearance.

It’s a snoozer of a bowl, but one we can win. Getting that win is arguably more important than the destination or opponent.
