Next year starters

I wouldn't mind a QB in the portal, but I also expect improvement from Lunch going into next season. He should be going into the offseason as a starter and thereby get more reps than last offseason.

Also, all QB play this year is directly impacted by the OL problems. If we cannot figure out a way to stay healthy and improve in the OL, your .500 prediction is optimistic for next season.

I would like to see a transfer come in and compete to start.

The stats don't say everything and you know it. How many drive killing drops did we have against Rice. I believe Sampson had 6 drops on his own that game. Walker has not had a chance to truly prepare for opponents and get into any rhythm of the game outside of the Rice game. He's CLEARLY the more accurate passer. Hell, the Troy game he came in for a series and threw 3 perfect balls on significant pass plays where ALL were dropped.

I think there's a reason WH won the job at the beginning of the season and there's also a reason Lunch lost out to Beale. Lunch is notorious for not practicing well. Jay Walker talks about it often. It might be why his ceiling is limited over time.

Not saying you are wrong but if you go back and read the live game talk Rice thread it tells a different story.

He had throws to invisible players. Not to mention throwing to hard, which basically tells you he didn't know his recievers.

Now Shelton hiding his injury could have had a lot to do with it but passes to nobody doesn't say much for accuracy.
