Why not leave the signed contract OOC road game intact and just add Tech as an In Conference home game for Louisiana.

You are correct. We will probably be paired with usm. I just look for ways to keep a presence in Texas.

Why can't we still play H&H with Texas State, just not our final game? They need to fill OOC games as well and it has been a good rivalry. I like the idea of our rivalry game shifting to USM as our final game. Let LA Tech and ULM start their own. With only 7 teams in the Western Division, that leaves Ark State hanging up North. Either they don't have a rivalry or add an 8th team and increase the SBC to 16 teams. Could add W. Kentucky in the West and Delaware or Liberty in the East. Ark State and W. KY would be a good rivalry and a good conference addition.

Tech is replacing Tx State. According to the rotation, we are scheduled to go there in 26. Maybe more complex than many think. The league could do away with divisions in 26 and just take top 2 finishers for championship game.

I think the point is Des does not have a bowl win after a season in which he was HC. He was handed the keys to a team someone else lead that bowl game when Napier left.

Yes, technically he was HC and it goes as a win. But that team would probably curb stomp every UL team since.

And they played a 6-6 CUSA Marshall
Damn disgrace after such an awesome top 20 season

Read somewhere CUSA is suing latech, seemingly to hold them to the 2 year exit notice in their conference bylaws. latech would need to pony up dollars to get out earlier? Does it make a difference to UL if they enter SBC in 26' or 27 since a game already on schedule? latech could remain in CUSA another year for all I care. Agree SBC could do away with divisions. In fact, good time to add a 9th conference game.

I hope we don’t do away with divisions. I like the divisions. These conferences are too large anyway and divisions breeds rivalries with the schools closest together.

Except two of our biggest rivals in football have become Marshall and App St. who we never play anymore.
