It’s a moot point. Until this point he has not demonstrated the remote possibility of having other offers.

If Desormeaux was interested in a more lucrative job he definitely would not be calling offensive plays at this point in his career.
say what you want but sauces say he is more like Robe then anything anyone here posts . . . he ain’t going nowhere because he is just not interested . . .
You can think slow and methodical in baseball.
Football requires quick decisions not from a book and absent panicky moves, all the way down to when and on what you call a timeout on.
Having said that and knowing the stage level is miles apart. I say what I say next.
Robe stealing home in the CWS and Des going for it on 4th and 76 tells me they have something in common.
Geaux Cajuns
Call me crazy, but I don’t want a head football coach here who just wants to settle in and retire here. At the G6 level, that’s how your program becomes stale.
I want an aggressive guy who is willing to do anything and everything it takes to win big so he is offered to flee to a Big 10/SEC/Big 12 HC job. Then when hiring his replacement, we look for another guy with that same mindset.
Now that said, if Dez were to start winning 10-13 games a season, making us consistently Top 2 in the SBC and teasing the Top 1-5 in the G6 and remain here his entire career with those constant results, I’d be tickled to death.
But I just don’t see that happening. Haven’t seen it yet, at least. I do hope he proves me wrong, because honestly, he’s here another two years at least, and this program can’t afford to become 7-6, 6-7 and 5-7 stale.
CMD is a solid individual. In the long run, he’ll be this generation’s Louie Cook.
