Of course not. Nobody wants you, but you somehow manage to rake in $900,000 a year? The only person who would not take that deal is Lane Kiffin.

Come to think of it... you know what would be rich? Hire Brian Kelly. Let LSU pay for our next coach. LOL!

Y’all crazy: if Des goes 13-1 wins a conference championship here and is offered by a P4 then you know damn well he would leave. Just don’t see it happening at this point. Hope he proves me wrong.

Of course he'd go. Every coach is looking for the bigger opportunity.

...WELL THERE YA GO!>just watched the hi-lites of the GAME AND we were right there with them had the lead and missed the fg (blocked)……crazy trick play at the start of the 2nd half……and the stall at the goal line….also the game at home for Jmu…..as we go with a new QB!….and the going out of bounds intercept to stop our chance! Just saying!

Negative. You don't QB for your Alma Mater, play for Coach Bustle, Hudspeth and Napier, become a member of its' coaching staff, be a part of Cajuns Football from the lows of the 2000s, the glory days of four nine win seasons, while Cajun Field escalated into some of the best tailgating, witness the end of the Hudspeth era, join Napier's turnaround putting us on the map with the Longest Winning Streak in College Football, back 2 back T25 ranked seasons, then become HC of Cajuns Football when the CFP expands to a 12 team format and actually have UL in contention for the guaranteed G5 spot of said CFP in its' inaugural season, have a tremendous onslaught of doubters talking ____ daily, over and over and over and pull off four wins in a row with 8 healthy lineman, 3rd string QB and receivers who couldn't catch a football and say, I'm out, this program is going nowhere.

For a moment, I thought Napier realized what we are capable of. The SEC programs that made him offers and he stayed was interesting to say the least. When Florida came calling he was offered the chance to revitalize the glory days of the legendary Steve Spurrier era. He took it. Can't blame him. So Louisiana with this tremendous momentum and this COMPLETELY new dynamic of Louisiana Football was put up for sale. The word was that the Defensive Coordinator of Alabama was on a list of candidates.

The only way CMD would ever leave Louisiana is if he were asked to.

He will NEVER leave Cajuns Football.

That’s great and all but the whole point is he has never been asked to leave because he hasn’t done jack to warrant a bigger job offer. I want him to succeed because of the reasons you listed. He is Ragin Cajun to the core but he has yet to prove is a good head football coach. In my opinion the best thing for him to do is not only drop the play calling duties, but to bring in an offensive coordinator to change the entire scheme. If he does that then I have no doubt he can be what we all know he deserves to be. Stay out of the offense, coach and develop his players and be an overall manager of the program.
