Louisiana (1-6) looks to snap a five-game losing streak which began with a 66-62 loss to Tulane on November 11. The Ragin' Cajuns opened a four-game road trip at McNeese before falling to Stanford, Santa Clara and UC Davis.
Jaxon Olvera (12.1) and Dorian Finister (12.0) have led Louisiana in scoring with Jamyron Keller (17.0) sidelined prior to the Tulane game.
Finister (4.6) and Olvera (4.4) lead the team in rebounds.
Jackson State (0-6) has dropped four games to nationally-ranked opponents this season along with losses at Louisiana Tech and at home against Elon. Jayme Mitchell Jr., one of four players averaging in double figures for the Tigers, leads the team at 14.5 points per game.
Daeshun Ruffin (12.4), Dorian McMillian (12.2) and Tamarion Hoover (10.3) follow in scoring for the Tigers with Ebo Wilson hauling in a team-best 4.0 rebounds.
The meeting will be the seventh all-time between the schools with the series tied at 3-3. JSU claimed the last meeting between the schools, 75-70, on November 27, 2021 in the Cajundome.
