    Cajuns = Acadians

    Our name should be Acadiana.

That ship has sailed. If Acadiana was ever going to be the name, it should have happened between 1984 and 2000. Once we got ULM to change their name, the door closed. Why would we give up the Louisiana name now?

And let’s be clear it’s not just about the word Louisiana. The real issue is that LSU knows if we ever brand the University of Louisiana successfully, it threatens their monopoly as the so‑called “flagship.” That’s why they fought so hard to create rules that boxed us in. They didn’t want another institution carrying the Louisiana identity with equal legitimacy.

Thats why no other school! Not LSU, SLU, NSU, Nicholls, McNeese, LaTech or any other state college refuses to use it!

Don”t be scared F”&@ the BS

But here’s the truth: those rules were designed to trap us, and we’ve been playing right into them. We don’t need to hide behind “UL” or “University of Louisiana.” We don’t need qualifiers. We are Louisiana. Period. The only thing holding us back is fear, fear of our own shadow, fear of stepping fully into the identity that’s already ours.

That’s why I’ve been creating logos that walk the line legally but still declare, unmistakably: WE ARE LOUISIANA. They don’t break the rules, but they break the illusion that LSU owns the name. Every time someone sees those marks, they’re reminded that Lafayette is Louisiana. That’s how you build a brand through repetition, confidence, and refusing to apologize for who you are.

Acadiana is heritage, Cajuns are culture, but Louisiana is identity. And if we don’t claim it, we’re surrendering the greatest brand we’ll ever have.

This is the power of "media value" in action.

'If Louisiana thinks it's good it must be. We want it too.'

If LSU, SLU, Tulane, NSULA, LaTech, and ULM all use some form of the Louisiana state silhouette, what does that really say?

It says the silhouette represents Lousiana, and if every other school feels the need to borrow it, then the truth is obvious: the silhouette belongs to us.

Because we are not just in Louisiana We Are Louisiana. That outline isn’t theirs to claim; it’s ours by right. Every time the state silhouette is used, it reinforces the brand we already own.

So let’s stop hesitating. The silhouette is more than a design. We Are Louisiana.

To help motivation yall need the “We Are Louisiana Campaign ” yall just come up with ideas on how to win the LOUISIANA brand!

    NSULA- Fork em
    McNeese- Cowboy Up
    LSU- Eye of the Tiger
    ULM- Talons Out
LaTech- Crown Jewel of the UL system
    Louisiana: We are Louisiana!

We got the best one, we got the FDL! Not a Tiger, Warhawk, Bulldog, or Green Wave, but a real life Cajun (FDL) yall! The symbol of French Colonialism! Add the Louisiana silhouette behind the FDL! “ Garde-voir ça!.

We started trying to get the name in 1984, they gave up the name in 1884, coincidence?

Interesting time line, but the 17-1 success of 1984 was the culmination of over a decade of work.
