My solution is to never use any of your "solutions". Although your concept with the Louisiana Logo with fleur de lis is already being used.

we need something with an "L" or silhouette of the shape of the state of Louisiana or the word Louisiana - something that screams Louisiana otherwise we will have failed again in the arena of ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY BRANDING . . .
