Thread: Paging the SunBelt

  1. UL Football Paging the SunBelt

Four teams emerging as clear-cut upper echelon in topsy-turvy Sun Belt season

The possibility for some late-season drama in the Sun Belt West Division race took a hit last week when Southern Miss turned five interceptions into a critical 27-21 road win over Arkansas State.

Add that to Troy’s road loss to Old Dominion on Thursday and the odds are really in the Golden Eagles’ favor to reach the Sun Belt championship game. The only way to keep that from happening is Troy beating Georgia State; Southern Miss losing to either Texas State or South Alabama; and then the Trojans winning in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on Nov. 29.

…...well in trying to get the Cajuns some respect, we have lost to only one team with a losing record (EMU)………if we can win two and get to a bowl, that would be a true salvage of the season……checking and asking, seems like the Cajun DBs will come from existing backups of suspended players rather than moving from position to position like or OL did with early season injuries…………Next man Up!

While injuries have played a part in our results, it has also demonstrated the depth we have on the OL. With that being said, can’t fix the coaching decisions that have failed us in games.

It depends if enough other sbc teams make bowls or not. Of we make it, and have to share too much money and none of our fans travel, we will lose money, fail another audit and get the interim prez fired and replaced with a tsab puppet

….Tell ya what….you know these guys better than I, so what would our starting offense have been….loose our best of last year RB to Ala…..the having a great year TE TO t tech…..lost another TE I think…..The WR who is outstanding along with another hurt….. the WR that NILed last year….give a quick announcer starting line up for this…..not having these guys is the story of this year……oh and help me with the offensive line guys that were lost! I think we will have some fun with this….No doubt this is why at an earlier time in the year Coach Des said we were going to be very good!

    Boomer is right.
    Interpretation:
Losing Carter, Washington, and Broussard to NIL thieves; and an unprecedented amount of injuries is 90% of what killed us this year.

so we are yelling to fire a coach that could not have more than 10% of the responsibility, if any at all?

You can also factor in Carmycah Glass, Justin Agu, and Caleb Anderson on the defensive side of the ball.
