Slow Start Plagues Cajuns Against McNeese, 88-62

Louisiana couldn't overcome a slow start on Friday night, dropping an 88-62 decision to McNeese at Townsley Law Arena.

The Ragin' Cajuns (1-3) managed just 18 percent shooting in the first half and trailed 37-16 at intermission before settling in after the break. Louisiana shot 44 percent in the second half and scored 46 points, but McNeese (3-1) never trailed after Larry Johnson's 3-pointer with 15:02 remaining in the first half started a 9-0 run and broke open a 6-6 contest.

McNeese could have won by 45 if they wanted to. That's how bad this basketball team is. The design of this offense could have been put together by the head coach of Lafayette Middle. Pathetic

I actually enjoy our press releases. They can turn the worst situations into rainbows, kittens and unicorns. The “top 50 finish” in cross country this week was the best. Actually finished…50th.

Sadly, this whole athletic year is shaping up to need a lot of “polish”.
