Agree. And to add about truly caring about our children let's get rid of in parish zones statewide, too. Too many kids getting trapped in crappy public schools. There's no reason to 'protect' a underperforming school considering all the taxes being paid and the harm done to the students. Zoning affects so many things like real estate development, land values, the athletics we're discussing, traffic patterns, and bottom line the education of these young people. This will assist in more level playing field over time.
Correct, and if we base promotion/relegation upon competitiveness and not simply student population, over time, schools will end up playing against other schools with similar levels of support/funding.
4 classifications
No select/non select
Promotion relegation based upon competitiveness
This is how we fix this mess.
This is what is best for our children.
How often does lafayette parish redraw attendance zones?
Seems other states are redrawing or duscussing redrawing quite often.
Are old zone students grandfatheted in, does changing bc of zone line change count as a transfer, does lhsaa have to "review" the map???
