Hilton’s WK Hilltoppers basically proved last night that the G6 does not belong - could not even beat a bad SEC team . . .

A conclusion without merit.

It takes a peak season for sure.

Just based on temporarily purchased SEC players alone it takes a peak season to beat an SEC team.

That does not mean they don't or won't "belong" when they put put it all together.

WKU's had its second best scoring defensive performance of the season.

No way the artificial store bought/rented SEC plays hold Louisiana to 10 points last night.

Has nothing to do with belonging or not belonging.

Not in the era of rent-a-player.

Liberty made what was the 2023/4 version on the CFP in the Fiesta Bowl vs. Oregon. Got their asses kicked. They beat no one in the regular season. All they did was beat everyone on the schedule.

It helped that the American champion, SMU, was 11-3. Liberty was in the right place, right time.

This supports the theory of having to be perfect and the top G6 conference has to have an off year.

I know turkey season is fast approaching but in no instance does delusional gobbledygook ever rise to the level of proof - maybe, and even that is a stretch, could something like that be put together in the sport of hoops but never, and I mean never in football . . .

Who’s taking about WKU and why are they the linchpin to prove a point? They lost by 3 and it’s 1 game. There’s several examples of “G6” beating “p4.” Sure it’ll usually be advertised as an upset, but there’s also plenty of examples of “p4” kicking the crap out of their conference mates.

This is less of the little guy vs. big. Rather the 20 or so programs year in and out that actually have the ability to compete for a natty vs. the 110 or so other schools.

Exactly...if anything it proves SEC is not as great as they claim. All of these non conf games are always in the SEC's terms to begin with. Lets see tsab or any other SEC team play up north somewhere in late november.

this site was praising Hilton as a top notch coach - so, this dispels the notion that hiring such a coach would place Louisiana in a position to win a NC
