It’s not to increase their ability it’s to keep those with developing ability from being snatched away . . .

CBS Sports the first to publicly state my point. The American baring multiple losses will get the G7 slot.

Could the Dukes be the first of three Group of Six teams in this week's updated rankings? Fresh off another blowout win to clinch a berth in the Sun Belt Championship Game, JMU's schedule simply isn't good enough to be the Group of Six's highest-rated champion unless there's more chaos to come in the American. Last week's ranking: N/A

No they will not. Tulane took USF’s spot.

Sure did not envision 2 loss Tulane getting penciled in.

The SBC will never get the slot. Neither will CUSA or the MWC.

It will always go to the America or PAC. We should push to join TxSt.

Louisiana should push for it just for publicity (media value) alone.

One day it will pay off.

Good point, it would be ironic if we didnt go to pac because of being scared of travel costs (despite other conf moves rewarding teams for spending more) yet we might end up in SBC east with just as much if not more travel.costs when jmu leaves.

I don't think this is true. JMU has not beaten anybody worth mentioning. If you can only beat Sunbelt teams or cusa, then you are right about not being able to be up for a playoff spot. Had they beaten Louisville, then they would be in the drivers seat for the spot. You actually have to beat a good team.
