In the podcast linked above, Craig Melancon and I analyze the Cajuns MBB games vs Ball State and Southeastern Louisiana which were held last week. We also preview upcoming games vs Tulane (tomorrow night at home) and McNeese (Friday night on road). We have corrected the problems we had with my mic on the previous recording. Did you guys talk about the metal detector situation outside? I've never seen that at a cajuns game before. Not sure why all of a sudden they felt the need to put everyone through this.

It’s a secret. It detects only beer. I walked through with cell phone, keys, and a large metal belt buckle. Didn’t go off. Must only detect Gloks. Or beer.

It's weapons detectors, not metal detectors. Also, large chairs will set them off because they think its a long gun.

Most schools are using this, even the majority of local high schools. It’s just reality these days. Murder at St Martinville/Erath game last year. Kid arrested with gun at Carencro game, which was caught when he went through detector. It’s unfortunate but that’s how the world is these days.
