What is the most popular college mascot? According to Sports Illustrated, it’s the Oregon Duck. Why? Costume quality, cute, unique, high energy, etc. the Chicken was a lot of this. Al is a good start, but needs improvement in all of these areas.

The Chicken never made sense to me. It had no connection to the university. The antics were great, though. Too bad the Chicken wasn't a Gator, then we really would have had something

If there had been a university connection the Fabulous Cajun Chicken would have lived on beyond Russel Heim's abilities.

On the other hand in this era with such tight controls and defuning of everthing, The FCC would have never been allowed to see the light of day.
