    On to overtime, 0-0.

    110 minutes, still tied.

Cajuns had 3-1 lead going into 4th round, chance to win it with one goal. Missed next 2, tied going into sudden death rounds.

And just like that, Cajuns missed 3rd in a row and South Alabama wins 4-3.

That was a bummer. If you’re up 3-1 in penalties, a whole lot has to go wrong for you and right for them to win it. Disappointing way to end it. Even with playing with 10 for almost half the game.

Heck of an effort. Yips happen in every sport. What and when UL finally gets serious with WSOC, who knows. Constantly, at best, finishing in the bottom half in regular season play is always an uphill battle. To UL’s credit, played the Jags even in stats also.

I don’t like ending a game of that magnitude with a shootout. But that’s the laws of the game.

It is progress and it looks like they have some good freshman. Something to build on.

That’s kind of my issue, for 2+ decades (3 for WBB) other than softball, it seems satisfying Title IX is the only goal being met. Nothing personal with you, but that’s the SOP we’ll hear from the athletic department.

I thought it was an exciting game. Wasn’t much of a fan but I’ve been converted by my DIL who just got inducted into Moo state’s hall of fame. Sorry. Had to throw that in. She has helped me appreciate the game. We’ve been do bad in soccer over the years it was fun to see them perk up more this year. Our freshmen sure helped.
