Fair enough. Ha. Obviously it wasnt a battle tested dissertation level thesis, but do you have any suggestions on a tweak or an elaboration to mold the idea? Bottom line is current ncaa nil way simply equals cajuns lose, even the worst idea has to be better than that?

    Meritocracy is the only way!

My solution would never happen...no more NIL. Although i wish if we had a player get poached by a bigger School, atleast let us get compensated for development.

Similar to a coaches buyout? That would make sense! 15 percent perhaps?

How about allow schools to officially opt in or opt out. (Could include portal as well).... [or could make a threshhold, if lower than thresshold similar to opt out]

If a school opts out, they receive some benefits such as possibly extra practice time, expanded roster limits (or curtail the practice time and rosters of those who opt in). Maybe even tie breakers to the opt out team for bowl eligibility, extra tv spots guaranteed perhaps, extra home games, higher conference move consideration....plus many many more feel free to add.

Can you elaborate on this idea? Opt in or out of what exactly?

Thanks...have each school declare whether or not they will choose to participate in issuing NIL payments/allowing their players to receive NIL or not.
I.e. an opt out would be playing under the way things were supposed to have been in the past under old rules of amateurism....many have said they dont want ti have NIL, this would be a way to do that
